Has the time change caught up with any of you yet? I always find that fall back is harder for me than spring forward – I think it has something to do with how early it gets dark. Today I was tired, but I kept busy all day, which made the day go by quickly, and came home hungry!
The Boy was just as hungry as I was when I got home, so I set to work fixing some chicken and a pouch of seasoned rice, then steaming up some carrots in the microwave to stir into the chicken and rice mixture. Dinner was ready within a half hour, and we got it onto the table and chowed down.
My dish was chock full of steamed carrots, chicken and rice – it was delicious and filling, satisfying my hunger and warming me up! Not too long after we finished eating, we headed out to the grocery store to pick up some much needed foodstuffs! I was thrilled to see POMs for $1 apiece, and ended up picking one up that was the size of a large grapefruit! I can’t wait to cut it open and to enjoy the arils – I love pomegranates! I was also able to pick up a few other items to make fixing lunch and dinner this week pretty easy.
Once we got home, we enjoyed a little dessert, and then spent some time watching Dodgeball. Enzo ended up falling asleep on The Boy’s lap, and looked incredibly comfy!
I may join him in dreamland after a bit – I’m tired! I hope you all had a great Monday, and I’ll see y’all tomorrow! G’night!
