I wanted my breakfast today to be something that I could put together quickly. I also wanted it to be refreshing. I was still feeling parched from the salty foods I ate yesterday, so cold cereal swimming in milk sounded like the perfect breakfast.
I combined 2/3 of a serving of Kashi Autumn Wheat with 1/4 cup of granola, 1 banana, and a blob of almond butter on my spoon. I poured milk to cover the cereal, and dove right in.
It was delicious, and exactly what I wanted. I enjoyed the light, sweet crunch of the cereal combined with the ripe banana and the nut butter – so good. I had a glass of ice water alongside this bowl of crunch, and when I was finished, I was full and no longer feeling parched. It was the perfect start to my busy day.
