I was feeling a protein-filled breakfast this morning, and thought something savory was in order. I whisked together two eggs with milk while I sautéed some mushrooms, and set to work making a small omelet.
I filled this with the sautéed mushrooms and American and sharp cheddar cheeses. It was delicious! I love how the cheddar and American cheeses complement the flavor of the sautéed mushrooms – so good. This was a great, satisfying breakfast that kept me satisfied throughout my morning.
I love savory breakfasts like this one, though oats will always be my favorite breakfast food, sometimes a morning calls for eggs. Today was definitely one of those mornings and I was happy to satisfy that craving.
